of quality English timbers, established since 1992. We specialise in timbers
for furniture makers, joiners, woodturners and other enthusiasts.

We aim to obtain our trees
within Cumbria, from windblown, dead or trees felled for other good reason.
To demonstrate our commitment to the future we also aim to plant 1,000 trees
every year. In fact, we planted 6,500 native broadleaved trees in winter
2003. We are winners of two environmental awards: Cumbria environmentalist
overall winner 1995 and Solway Rural Initiative Gold Award 2000. |

We sell fresh
sawn, air dried, and kiln dried timbers and can offer a full machining service
to prepare timber for clients. There is a great selection of turning blanks
and other interesting timbers.
We installed a state of the art computer controlled heat vent kiln in 2001
which we feel gives us the highest drying standards possible. It not only
dries at the optimum rate for species and thickness but also conditions
the timber so it is consistently dry and ready for use. We now have a humidity
controlled store room for our kiln dried stock. |

We can also mill
and kiln dry your own timber and then make it into furniture for you.
We can deliver either by our own transport
or by courier. Local delivery on substantial orders is free. |
